It’s summer 2024, and putting together an outfit feels impossible. I’m blaming this partially on content overload and partially on the fact that it’s 14 degrees in Amsterdam, meaning my summer wardrobe has yet to make an appearance. In this state of fashion apathy, my saving grace has been my 💘shoe collection💘. Sure, jeans and a tee are boring, but pair them with a great heel or boot, and you've almost got a whole outfit.

This summer, my perusing through vintage, Vinted, and Ssense has been solely focused on shoes. Did my favorite vintage store in Amsterdam have an entire display window full of Miyake? Absolutely. But you would have found me in the back trying on nameless vintage slingbacks. So, I’m channeling my recent shoe obsession to share my top 5 favourite shoe trends for summer/fall 2024 — along with some of the stats behind them.
