As promised and on-deadline (!) I have finally gotten to publishing my set of predictions for 2026.
These predictions are not about specific trends like teal blue, tiger print, or mandarin jackets (more on those later). Instead, they focus on broader cultural shifts I have been observing and am confident will shape fashion in 2026, alongside some speculation on how they will directly affect how we get dressed.
Now, after having just read and validated my sprawling list of 2025 predictions, I am going to keep this list pretty tight (8 in total — 4 in part 1 and 4 in part 2) and probably as difficult to validate with growth metrics (%) as last year’s predictions (but that is December 2026 Molly’s problem).
If you missed it, I checked in with my 2025 predictions and saw how accurate I was using updated data and got ~10/14 correct.
